Core: The Narrative Mechanism Behind the Mispricing

If insurers continue to lower premiums while prediction markets hold elevated probabilities, two things happen: first, capital flows toward underwriting risk that is mispriced, creating a hidden subsidy for high-risk projects; second, the eventual correction—when a bad event occurs—will be more violent because the insurance buffer is thinner.
